Island Village

Every week of time has an owner/member, some members have multiple ownership of weeks of time.

There are nine thousand one hundred and eighty weeks of time in Island Village. (9180).

The resort was built over a period of years commencing in 1985. It opened for the first members to use it in June 1986.

There are in total one hundred and eighty units. These consist of one and two bedroom apartments / units.

The one hundred and eighty units are distributed over four phases.

Phase one (unit numbers start ‘1’) has 38 units.

Phase two (unit numbers start ‘2’) has 40 units.

Phase three (unit numbers start ‘3’) has 40 units.

Phase four (unit numbers start ‘4’) has 62 units.

Types of Accommodation

A one-bedroom unit sleeps four adults (plus a chaise longue, which is suitable for a child). Maximum occupation allowed - five persons including babies.

A two-bedroom unit sleeps six adults, plus a chaise longue. Maximum occupation allowed - seven persons including babies.

A De luxe unit has in addition to the basic unit, a private swimming pool.

Some of the units are built in maisonette fashion and are numbered ‘a’ & ‘b’ The ground level unit is ‘a’.

Every unit has a patio area with table and chairs plus sun loungers. An umbrella is available on deposit. Some units at ground floor level have a garden with a lawn and flowers or shrubs.

All units have:

A full size kitchen with: fridge / freezer, hob, oven, microwave, breakfast bar, ironing board and iron.

Lounge area with: table and chairs, sofa bed, chaise longue, wardrobe, satellite TV.& Telephone

An exterior drying area, with clothes airer.

Bathroom with sinks, Jacuzzi bath with shower, bidet and toilet.

Bedroom one has wardrobe, dressing table, twin zipped beds (double or two singles).

Where there are two bedrooms the second one has two single beds.

On site supermarket open 8am – 10pm.(Fresh baked bread, Pizzas, Spit roast chickens + usual stock items).

Six swimming pools.

Four restaurants.

Tour booking facilities at reception.

Club members/owners have contact with the Club whilst in Tenerife via the Comunidad office if they wish. Any suggestions or problems can be dealt with at this office. The office is in daily contact with the Club Office in London. (during normal office hours).

The Comunidad office is situated at the corner of the next turning (opposite the water tap feature in the Aqua Park).

Directions to Island Village (from the Airport)

Leave the airport onto the TF1 motorway signed 'Los Cristianos' (You will not see signs for Playa De las Americas from the airport). 

When on the TF1, the sea will be on your left-hand side (If not you are going the wrong way, north towards SANTA CRUZ). Leave the TF1 at Salida (exit) 29, San Eugenio, Parque Aquatico, proceed up the hill for approx. 250 yards. When the road forks, take the left hand fork (remember to stay to the right as you fork off, as any oncoming traffic will approach on your left hand side). Follow the road (it takes a large loop to the left), and when you see the Aquapark Octopus on your left, Island Village is approx. 500 yards past this on your right.

South airport to Island Village approx. 20/25 minutes.
